Welcome back to our Gardenscape, everyone! With spring in full swing, our garden journey continues with boundless excitement and progress. Despite a brief pause for Easter festivities, our week has been brimming with noteworthy discoveries and plans.

Our weekly pilgrimage to Hoffman Hillerman Nursery proved fruitful once again. As we anticipate exciting projects and expansions, we’re keen on selecting plants fresh off the truck, steering clear of forced blooms. This ensures our garden stays in sync, thriving at its own pace.

In a stroke of serendipity, we stumbled upon Bartezella Peonys, solving our quest for early spring bloomers and injecting a much-needed burst of yellow into our garden canvas. These additions promise to enliven our Gardenscape while the rest of our plants find their footing.

Speaking of expansions, we’re thrilled to unveil our first project—an extension of our hydrangea bed, cascading down to greet visitors halfway down our driveway. With layers of perennials and shrubs, we aim to create a seamless flow, drawing attention from the street to our front oasis.

Yet, not all plants have thrived in their assigned spaces. Our Boxwoods, contrary to our hopes, have withered instead of rebounding. Thus, they make way for a vibrant mass planting of Peach Berry Ice Coral Bells, poised to grace our entryway with their elegance.

Venturing beyond our usual haunts, a visit to Lowes and Home Depot revealed an unexpected twist—the garden center moved indoors due to an impending freeze. Though not our usual browsing experience, it offered a swift glimpse of the offerings. While annuals beckon, we exercise patience, awaiting the right moment to usher them into our garden sanctuary.

Before we conclude, let’s not forget our resilient seedlings. Despite facing adversity, they thrive, reminding us of nature’s inherent wisdom. Purple Cone flowers eagerly join the fray, while Black Eyed Susans jostle for space. With Daisy’s and Fox Gloves in need of attention, we’re reminded that nature persists, unaided by our hand.

As we bid adieu to this week’s adventures, we extend our gratitude for joining us on this journey. Your presence in our Gardenscape enriches our passion for greenery. Like, share, and subscribe to stay updated on our progress. Until next time, happy gardening!
